H.G. Geevarghese Mar Pachomios Metropolitan

His Grace was born on March 6, 1974 as the son of Kochuparampil Elias and Omana in Mannathur St. George Valiapalli Parish.After completing his degree in Vedic Studies from Kottayam Old Seminary, H. G. Dr. Thomas Mar Athanasius Metropolitan ordained him as Kashisha on 10th December 2009.

His grace, who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law Studies and a Master’s Degree in Vedic Studies from Vadavathur Eastern Vidyapeeth Seminary, served as a member of the Association Managing Committee of the Church for 10 consecutive years.

H.G. was elected as Metropolitan on 25th February, 2022 at the Malankara Association held at Kozhenchery. H.G was consecrated as Metropolitan on 28th July 2022 at St. Mary’s Syrian Orthodox Cathedral, Pazhanji. H.G taken the charge as Metropolitan of the Malabar Diocese, the largest diocese in Malankara.
